The next meeting is Saturday, May 22 at 10am.
Part of the meeting will be a discussion about buying a new computer. It has been just over six months since Windows 7 was released and by all accounts it is a big success. So this may be a good time to consider a new computer.
Another topic will be some forecasting about the future of computers and other electronics. Please bring some of your own forecasts to discuss with the group.
Are desktop computers doomed to extinction? Will netbooks, tablets and handheld computers take over the marketplace? What new invention is just around corner that we may just "have to have" within a year or so?
As Yogi Berra may have said, "Forecasting is tough, especially about the future."
